Sean Relihan, Funeral ​Director, Manager

Prospect Memorial Funeral Home is pleased to welcome Sean Relihan as our funeral director.

Sean brings 10 years of experience in the funeral profession. He is a Phi Theta Kappa graduate of Briarwood College with a degree in Mortuary Science and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
Sean resides in Waterbury and has two adult sons Kyle and Kegan. He is a communicant of Saint Dominic Church and has been active in the Catholic community serving in different areas such as: helping with the youth group, lector and Eucharistic minister. He has been a participant in the St Thomas Passion Play for over 20 years and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. In his spare time, Sean likes to go camping and ride his motorcycle.
This is a second career for Sean. He holds a degree as a manufacturing engineer but left to pursue his passion in serving bereaved families and honoring the life of their loved one.
We look forward to continuing to serve the families of Prospect, Waterbury and surrounding towns with compassionate, individualized, professional funeral service.

Kimberly Raven Palmerie,  RN and Funeral Director

President/ Co-Owner

Kim is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a  Cum Laude graduate of Lincoln College of New England having earned an Associate degree in Mortuary Science and has certification as a Crematory Operator.  She has passed her National Boards and completed all qualifications for her Funeral Director, Embalmer Apprenticeship and is now  a fully licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

Kim is a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Waterbury, CT  and has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Salve Regina University and is now retired from working as an RN at Waterbury Hospital on the Obstetrical Unit. She has over thirty five years of experience caring for patients from in utero to Hospice.  Kim believes her new profession of funeral director is truly an extension of her many years of nursing.  Each patient, client and family will always have a place in her heart.

Kim is a lifelong resident of Prospect and looks forward to serving the families of Prospect and surrounding towns in her new profession of funeral directing.  Her goal is to  bring  compassion, knowledge and sincerity to those individuals who are mourning the death of a loved one by guiding the bereaved along the difficult journey.  Both her professions combined culminate in a career of care of the human along life's journey from beginning to end.

Kim is a member of Prospect Congregational Church, a member of the PCC choir since childhood and a past deacon.  She is Vice President of M & C Vending and Vice President of Prospect Memorial Funeral Home.

Mike Palmerie Jr, Treasurer

Co-Owner

Mike is Treasurer and Co-Owner of Prospect Memorial Funeral Home LLC.  He graduated from Holy Cross High School and attended Mattatuck Community College, Waterbury, CT majoring in business.  Mike grew up in the close-knit Town Plot section of Waterbury and continues to be part of the community. 

Mike lives in Prospect with his wife, Kim, of thirty five years, and their four children.  He is Chairman of the Prospect Board of Recreation and Parks and is active in town functions.  Mike is also a member of the Waterbury Chamber of Commerce and other administrative boards for  Waterbury area businesses 

Mike is Owner and President of M & C Vending of Waterbury, CT.

He has provided bereavement care for grieving families in the greater Waterbury area for over a decade through his work as a local pastor and hospice chaplain.
