Obituary of Richard "Dick" M. Stango
Richard "Dick" M. Stango, 84, of Prospect, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2017 at Beacon Brook Healthcare, Naugatuck. He was the husband of the late Rosemary (Armbruster) Stango.
He was born in Torrington on October 2, 1932 son of the late Michael and Rose (Magyar) Stango. After high school, he served in the US Army. Prior to his retirement, Dick worked as a lineman for SNET.
Dick is survived by a sister Barbara Lombardi of Prospect, two sisters-in-law; Elizabeth "Betty" Stango of Wolcott and Susan Armbruster of Naugatuck, nieces and nephews; Bernie Lombardi of Waterbury, Karen Barry of Florida, Kevin Lombardi of East Hampton, Michael Stango of Prospect, William Stango of Watertown, and Jeanette Capaldo of Wolcott.
He was predeceased by a brother William Stango.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 am on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. There are no calling hours. Burial with Military Honors will be at Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is assisting the family with arrangements.
