Obituary of Edward Nathal Griffin

Edward Nathal Griffin was born on May 26, 1978 in Brooklyn New York. On Thursday May 14, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital he answered the call from God to move on to heaven. Edward graduated from Kennedy High School in 1997. He worked at Macy’s warehouse as a packer in Cheshire, CT. My son had so much joy in his heart for everyone he came into contact with. He was always the life of the party no matter what. He kept a smile on everyone’s face no matter the situation. If you needed him to do anything for you, he would be there to do it with no problem. My son was the light in my day and a light in the dark. No matter where he went everybody knew who he was. Edward leaves behind to mourn him his mother Sheray Griffin of Waterbury, CT, his father Edward Blount of Rochester, New York, his sisters Shawneeiqua Griffin of Waterbury, CT and Clarrisa Blount of Rochester, NY, his daughter Chandrea Griffin of Astoria Queens, New York, his brother Travis Bount of Rochester New York, he also leaves behind his grandmother Audry Blount of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and his great grandma Carrie Spence of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, his grandfather Albert Blount also from Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts. He is predeceased by his grandmother Rachel Griffin of North Carolina. Private Grave services will be held Friday at 1:30 PM at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect, CT are handling the arrangements with James R. Sanders, Funeral Director.
