Obituary of Dorothy Therese Charland

Dorothy (Valade) Charland, 96, of Naugatuck and formerly of Old Orchard Beach, ME, passed away on July 29, 2020 at her daughter’s home. She was the wife of the late Rene Charland. She was born on May 3, 1924 in Montreal, Canada, daughter of the late Hector and Maria (Brulotte) Valade. Dorothy is survived by a son Edward Charland of Saco, ME and a daughter Yvonne Schepis and husband Robert of Naugatuck, seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Gary Charland, two brothers and two sisters. All services will be held in Maine and she will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford, ME. Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family.
