Obituary of Jean Sandra Semeraro

Loving Sister, Avid Golfer and Bowler Waterbury – Jean S. Semeraro, age 72, of Waterbury passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at her home. Jean was born in Waterbury on October 22, 1948 a daughter of the late Sofio and Teresa (Sandore) Semeraro. Prior to Jean’s retirement, she was an Administrative Assistant for the city of Waterbury. Jean was a champion golfer at East Mountain Golf Course and Prospect Country Club. Jean won twenty-three club championships and also had five holes-in-one. She was also the high average women’s bowler for a number of years on the Tuesday Night Mixed League. Jean is survived by her brothers: Daniel (Nancy) Semeraro and, Thomas (Rose) Semeraro, her companion Alan Walker all of Prospect and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Jean was predeceased by her brother Frank Semeraro. A Funeral Mass for Jean will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. There are no callings hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
