Obituary of Rudolph Clinton Jordan

Rudolph Clinton “Rudy” Jordan, age 70 of Waterbury passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital.

Rudy was born December 17, 1947 in Hillsboro, TX. He was the son of the late Phillip J. and Henrietta (Evans) Jordan.  He was educated at Central State University in Olahoma and Mattatuck Community College. Rudy was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War.  Rudy was an Orderly for many years and retired as a Clerk Engineer from Waterbury Hospital after 42 years.

He was a former member of the Milwaukee Braves Farm Team in which he was extremely proud. He also played for the "Jim Spann Baseball Team" in Waterbury.  He enjoyed sports and jazz, and especially spending time with family and friends. 

He is survived by his daughter Ayanna “Speedy” Jordan and his son Derek Jordan both of Middletown, sisters; Margaret Ann Demilara,  Brenda Pineda (Johnny), Charlette Freeney, Sandra Smith, Melonia Mitchell (Hillary) all of TX; Guin White of NC, Tonietta Scott (Arthur) of FL, a brother; Crawford Jordan (Josie) of TX. He is also survived by his step-father Thomas Greene of TX and a host of nephews and neices.

Rudy was predeceased by sisters; Paulette Griffin and Victoria Greene.

Full Military Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Friends and Family may visit from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Funeral Director, James R. Sanders  is handling the arrangements.
