Obituary of Ronald D. Nugent, Jr.

Bishop Ronald D Nugent Jr, 60, of Waterbury CT, earned his wings on Thursday April 12, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Paulette Francis.

He was born on October 9, 1957 in New Haven, CT. son of the late Ronald D Sr. and Joan (Nutley) Nugent. 

Bishop Ronald was ordained into Christian ministry at The Wolcott Christian Life Center under the leadership of the late Pastor Leo Chaput. He was the Bishop of Heart of God Ministry. Prior to his call, to ministry he was a truck driver for Mitchell’s. Bishop Ronald ministered to others in hospitals, jails, churches and homes all around New England. He was a member of the Businessman Fellowship and was affiliated with the Lighthouse Fellowship Church of Bridgeport CT. He was a part of the Sandy Hook Ministry. Ministering to others and spending time with his grandchildren was the joy of Ronald’s life.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Paulette Francis of Waterbury, CT, sons: Ronald Nugent III (Courtney) of Branford, CT, Nathaniel Stewart of Waterbury, CT, Joseph Nugent of South Carolina, daughters: Tina Nugent of New Haven, CT and Natasia Stewart of Waterbury, CT. He is also survived by sisters: June Lopez of West Haven, CT, Charleen Belco (Bruce) of East Haven, CT, two brothers: Michael Nugent of West Haven, CT and Shawn Nugent of Orange, CT, his six beloved grandchildren: Brian, Jasmine, Marcus, Kayla, Kyleigh and Nyla, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends whom loved him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Ronald’s life on Monday April 23, 2018 at 11am at Christ Church 16 Town Line Road, Suite 3, Wolcott, CT. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is assisting the family with the services.
