Obituary of John Severin Norback

John Severin Norback, 75, of Bethany, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, September 27, 2018 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford.

He was born on September 2, 1943 in New Haven son of the late John and Bertha (Severin) Norback. In his earlier years he was a member of the Shoreline Street Rod Club. Prior to his retirement, John worked as a Machinist for Pratt & Whitney. After his retirement, he fulfilled his pleasure of farming.

John is survived by his children John R. Norback and wife Anne of Stuarts Draft, VA, Kristin Norback Jackson and husband David of Prospect, Erik S. Norback of Herman, NY, Candace E. Mannel and husband Dave of Bethany and David J.R. Norback and wife Samantha of Russell, NY, grandchildren John “Dillon” Norback, Sierra Norback, Zachary Norback, William Mannel, Daniel Mannel, Catherine “Ellie” Mannel, Benjamen “Blue Blue” Mannel and Mariana Norback.

Calling hours are from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Carrington Cemetery, Bethany.
