Obituary of Robert Joseph Zdrodowski

Robert J. Zdrodowski , 78, of Prospect, passed away at Waterbury Hospital on Saturday, March  2, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Joseph and Irene (Zayas) Zdrodowski.

Robert was a retired machinist, having worked at Allied Signal for over thirty years.  He had a love for riding Harleys, spending time at the ocean, long walks, cars, music and films.  Bob’s most treasured time was spent with family especially his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his daughters Kristen Nagy of Branford and Kara Rotheram of Ansonia, and grandchildren Matthew and Dawson Nagy, and Ethan and Khloe Rotheram, a sister Marie Sadowski and her husband Robert of Stratford, a niece and three nephews, a former spouse Helen Zdrodowski and his loving partner of twelve years, Renee Poet, with whom he made his life and home.

The family would like to especially thank his care provider Michelle Cugliari and the ICU team at Waterbury Hospital for their wonderful care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Saint Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect at 11 am. There are no calling hours.  Burial is at the convenience of the family. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd. of Prospect is assisting the family with the arrangements.
