Obituary of Michael J. Corey

Michael J. Corey, 67, of Wolcott, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital.

He was born in Waterbury on December 30, 1951 son of the late Frederick “Fred” and Pamela (Gargargio) Corey. Mike was a graduate of Kaynor Technical High School. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Pratt and Whitney. Mike loved his family and friends and was dearly loved by them as well.

Michael is survived by a son Michael Beck and wife Samantha, grandchildren Braeden and Bryson all of Schoharie, NY. He leaves his siblings Edward Corey and wife Mary of Prospect, Judith “Judy” Brady of Wolcott, Margaret Luddy and husband Robert, Jr. of Prospect, James M. Corey of Wolcott, and Paul J. Corey and wife Christine of West Hartford, along with several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his Aunt Connie Silkauskas of Waterbury as well as several beloved cousins.

He was pre-deceased by three siblings Robert , Joyce, and Kenneth Corey, and his Aunt Laura Walsh.

All services are private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is assisting the family with arrangements.
