Obituary of Elise Mae Ferraro

Elsie Mae Ferraro, 90, of Waterbury, surrounded by loving family passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. She was the widow of John Ferraro, Sr. Elsie was born September 3, 1928, in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Ralph and Mae (Moore) Ruby. Elsie was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. She retired from GEM Manufacturing as an inspector. Elsie enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and traveling with family and friends. Her favorite destination was Florida, visiting her nephews. She truly enjoyed her monthly line dances with her lady friends. She shared many precious hours with her family, especially her great granddaughters. Elsie is survived by her daughter Rose and husband, Thomas Semeraro of Prospect, her son John Jr. and wife Ann Ferraro of Waterbury, grandchildren Michael and Kenneth Semeraro and Jake Ferraro, great granddaughters Juliette and Samantha Semeraro, her brother Raymond and wife, Dee Ruby , sisters Hazel Rasmussen and Frances Parker, several nieces and nephews and friends, particularly Pat and Peggy. Elsie was predeceased by her sister Flora Austin, her brother Robert Ruby and her grandson Christopher Ferraro. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 11 am at Mary, Mother of the Church (formerly Saints Peter and Paul Church) 67 Southmayd Rd, Waterbury. Burial will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main St., Waterbury. A calling hour will be held at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd, Prospect from 9am to 10am on Monday, August 5, 2019.
