Charles LaFlamme, Jr.

Obituary of Charles LaFlamme, Jr.

Mr. Charles “Chuck” LaFlamme, Jr., 62, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Chuck was born on April 9, 1957, in Waterbury, the son of the late Clara Motejaitis and Charles and Bess LaFlamme. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and was a skilled carpenter for many years. He also worked for his father’s businesses.

Chuck lived his life to the fullest, which is the only way he knew how. He loved deep-sea fishing on his cherished boat “Only ‘De Best” in Jupiter, Florida. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed replicating Bess’ Italian dishes. There wasn’t a muscle car he didn’t love and he could never turn down a trip to Mohegan. He’ll always be remembered for his “mint” sense of humor.

Chuck is survived by his daughter Cherie and husband Matt Genua of Prospect; as well as his siblings, Robert LaFlamme and wife Grace of Southbury, Steven LaFlamme and wife Margaret of Florida, James George and wife Sheila of Wolcott, and Robert George and wife Joyce of Prospect. He also leaves an aunt, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

He was predeceased by his sister Karie LaFlamme.

All services will be private. Additionally, Chuck wished to spend eternity among the sea, so his ashes will be spread in the Gulf of Mexico at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrf.org).
