Obituary of Jose Javier Maisonet

Jose Javier “Pupi” Maisonet, Jr., 26, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 19, 2019.

He was born on October 1, 1993 in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Waterbury by his loving Grandparents Maria and Victor Maisonet. He was a 2010 graduate of Wilby High School. Pupi loved to play baseball and handball. He had a great passion for food and truly enjoyed sharing his time with family and friends.

Pupi is survived by his father Jose Javier Maisonet, Sr. and wife Lisa, paternal grandparents Victor and Maria Maisonet, a son Jose J. Maisonet III, a brother Mason Maisonet and a sister Ashlee Maisonet. He leaves several aunts and uncles Carmen Maisonet, Manny Maldonado, Omayra Maisonet, Ivonne Maisonet, Noemi Rodriguez, Jose Victor Maisonet, Elychmarie Serraro and Angel Irizarry. He also leaves his cousins Kaysha Maldonado, Jose Soto, Tatiana Maisonet, Olga Conti, Megan Hernandez and many others.

He was predeceased by his great grandmother Maria Medina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, S. Main St., Waterbury.  Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-8 pm on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect.
