Obituary of Ruth Chisholm

Ruth Chisholm, 74, of Waterbury, surrounded by her family, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Waterbury Hospital. She was born on April 15, 1945 in Auburn, AL daughter of the late Charles and Inez (Jones) Chisholm. She loved traveling with her sister to visit family. Ruth truly loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her children Janice Chisholm of Charlotte, NC; Lisa Chisholm of Waterbury; Michelle Chisholm of Bristol and Maurice Chisholm and wife Kai Petty of Bristol. She also leaves nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Lena Nettles of Tuskegee, AL; Mae Wiggins of Syracuse, NY; Mary North of Auburn, AL; Dorothy Walker Auburn, AL; James Chisholm of Syracuse, NY and Eddie Chisholm of Waterbury. She was predeceased by her significant other James Bennett, Sr. with whom she raised her children and four nieces. The funeral will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
