Clarence Albert Miller Jr. Obituary On Sunday, June 21, 2020, Clarence Albert Miller Jr., loving brother and uncle, passed away at age 71. Clarence was born in Waterbury on September 20, 1948, the son of the late Clarence Albert Miller and Mary (Geary) Miller. He was lovingly known by several nicknames, with "Chip, Chipper, and Clare" being a few of them. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and also attended Cheshire Academy. Chipper is survived by his loving brother Mark Miller of Cheshire, CT; his sister Mary Ellen Cunningham, her husband Edward & family of Madison, CT; his brother Richard Miller, his wife Mary & family of Charlotte, NC; as well as several nieces and nephews including Rosemary (Miller) Rubbo of Watertown, Stephen Miller of Prospect, and John Paul Miller of Naugatuck, as well as a great-niece, Claire Miller of Prospect. Chipper was one of a kind; he had a heart of gold and was an extremely generous soul. He was incredibly intelligent and witty, and specifically his knack for being the king of one-liners often made those around him roar with laughter. His laugh could make anyone chuckle, as it was the most contagious and distinct laugh you've ever heard. Throughout his life, Chipper was a dedicated & patient care-taker of his beloved family, including his Aunt Gladys Miller, his Aunt Beatrice Cruikshank, and his favorite cousin Cynthia Colville. Some of his cherished pastimes include going to car shows, eating Italian and Chinese food, watching the Three Stooges, and cheering on the NY Yankees and Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed traveling yearly with his friends to his favorite places including Florida, Old Orchard Beach, and the Berkshires. With a true entrepreneurial spirit, Chipper parlayed his interests into various ventures in real estate, investing, and the restaurant business. His family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to his wonderful team of caretakers, especially to Linda O'Brien for her compassion and dedication to his care; as well as to acknowledge the special lifetime friendship of Steve and Kathy Delmonico and their family. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 29th at 9 am at Prospect Cemetery on Union City Road. The procession is departing from Prospect Memorial Home at 72 Waterbury Road promptly at 8:45 am. Please wear your mask if you are attending services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Chipper's honor to the American Liver Foundation.
