Obituary of Roland A. Brunetti

Roland A. Brunetti, 88, of Prospect passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday July 29, 2020 at St. Mary’s Vitas. He was the devoted husband of Angela (Petraroia) Brunetti for 62 years. Roland was born April 23, 1932 in Waterbury, a son of the late John and Fannie (Vinci) Brunetti Roland “Poppy” was a devoted family man, attending all his grandchildren’s sports games, graduations and family events. He was an avid golfer, a man of all trades, honest and hardworking. Roland proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Navy, having been stationed aboard the USS Wisconsin. He retired from Stanley Works as an industrial engineer. Poppy will be so greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His wife and his children were his primary concern, working many hours to be sure they were always well cared for and loved. Roland leaves to cherish his memory and honor his legacy his children Michael and wife Linda, Thomas and wife Janice, Allison Caruso all of Prospect, Amy and husband John Daly of Ft. Lauderdale, Amanda and husband Titus Rennie of Islamorada, FL. thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren and many close friends. Roland was predeceased by his sister Norma D’Attilio. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at 10 am at St. Anthony’s Church , 4 Union City Rd, Prospect. Burial with Military Honors will immediately follow at Prospect Cemetery. Roland’s family would like to thank Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony’s Church.
