Obituary of Lois Burns

Lois Burns, 77, of Plantsville (formerly of Prospect & Cheshire), died peacefully at Midstate Medical Center on October 21, 2020. She was born in Waterbury, on October 22, 1942, daughter of Louis and Ethel Cocchiola of Prospect. Lois was an X-ray technician at Waterbury Hospital leaving behind longtime friends whom she worked with for many years. Lois is survived by two daughters Tylou Betters and husband Dave of Plymouth and Sherry Leary of Cheshire, a son Louis Bruce Burns of Wolcott and a sister Sally Bertrand of Waterbury. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Adrian, Emily, Jack, David and Jake, great grandaughter Skylar, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Linda Scully. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Midstate for their exceptional care and comfort given to Lois and her family making her transition a peaceful one.
