Obituary of Anne Linskey

Anne (Cavanaugh) Linskey, 76, of Prospect and formerly of Waterbury, passed away at home on November 23, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late David F. Linskey. She was born on September 07, 1944 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Cornelius and Anna (Marshall) Cavanaugh. Prior to her retirement, Anne worked as a CNA in the hospice field. She cherished her time spent with family and friends. In her spare time she loved to paint and listen to music. She truly loved children and was the mother to all of the neighborhood children and had an open door policy for them. Anne appreciated nature and was an animal lover. Anne is survived by her daughter Tara Anne Linskey and husband Joseph Martinez of Prospect. She also leaves a sister in law Mary Lou (Linskey) Rogers of Middlebury and a brother in law William Zukauskas of Vernon along with several nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by two brothers Michael F. Cavanaugh and Neil B. Cavanaugh and a sister Mary (Cavanaugh) Zukauskas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, November 27, 2020 at St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Calling hours are private. A private burial will take place at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank all of her caregivers that took care of her during her illness.
