Obituary of Elizabeth Hing

Elizabeth (King) Hing, 88, of Waterbury passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 26, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lee Hing.

She was born, in St. Petersburg, FL, on December 19, 1928, daughter of the late George and Mary (Rucker) King.

She will be remembered for her loving kindness and open heart to everyone she met. She enjoyed life with her family and loved to dance.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters: Teresa (Will) Hing-Weatherspoon of Texas, Marilyn (Chet) Tucker of Waterbury, and Jeanice Hing of Virginia; three sons: Bruce Hing of TX, Robert Hing and David Hing both of Waterbury; a sister: Sylvia Dickerson of Middletown, and two brothers: Anthony (Pamela) Rucker of Waterbury and Larry (Geanell) Rucker of CA, 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren 1 great-great granddaughter, and a host of relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by four children: Dorothy King, Patricia Hing, William (Billy) King and Thomas (Tommy) Hing and two sisters: Ernestine Smith and Louise Clark.

A Celebration of her life will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 with Bishop Raymond Berger, Sr. of Rehoboth Apostolic Church officiating, 101 East Farms Street, Waterbury. Calling hour will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Meriden Road, Waterbury. The family is asked to meet at the church at 9:30 am on Wednesday. The family has chosen the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect to handle the funeral arrangements of Elizabeth Hing conducted by James R. Sanders, Funeral Director.
