Obituary of Milton "Jackie Boy" Gregory

Milton J. Gregory (Mullen) known the most as “Jackie Boy” age 70 of 111 Franklyn Street, Elizabeth City, NC passed away peacefully Saturday, July 29, 2017 after a brief illness at the VA Hospital, West Haven, CT

Milton was born August 27, 1946 in Elizabeth City, NC to Ms. Ella Mae Bogues and the late Alfred Mullen and Alexander Bogues.

Jackie served in the Army from 1968-1970.  He worked in construction for a brief time.  But he was an Accountant by trade where he owned and operated M & G Financial Services.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory  his daughters Adriane and Adriette Gregory of Waterbury, CT; three sisters: Ruth Moore of Greenville, Carolyn Humphrey of Waterbury, CT Wendy Bogues of Elizabeth City, NC; one brother: Mark Bogues of Waterbury, CT; one aunt: Catherine Mullen, of NY (his favorite aunt); step children:  Chevelle, Kiwanis and Rounia Hinton; grandchildren: Chaniel, Myia Lopez, Jordin, Jeremiah Saunders; nieces and nephews:  Pookie, Tracey, Princess, Kelly, Julian, Julius and Lashonda and a host of great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends.

Milton was known to many as Jackie Boy or Jack, but missing him more than anyone will be his girls Annie and Yette.  He called them Girls and they called him “My Daddy.”

He is predeceased by a nephew Vincent Gregory.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Mt Olive AME Zion Church, 82-100 Pearl St., Waterbury. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, Funeral Director James Sanders, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect is assisting the family with arrangements.
