Obituary of Olga Semrow

Olga Semrow, 98, of Wolcott, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Regal Care at Prospect. She was the beloved wife for over 59 years of the late Harold Semrow whom was a WWII Silver Star recipient.

 

She was born on July 18, 1919 in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Wassal and Mary Czarny.

 

Prior to her retirement, Olga worked as a Line Foreman for Uniroyal. She and her husband also owned and operated the Northwood Tree Farm. Her love of dancing inspired her to help found the ChaRumBo Dance Club. She also loved going to the casino and playing bingo.

 

She is survived by a nephew, Walter Semrow and wife Lena of Prospect. She was predeceased by her brother Luke Czarny and sister Stella Czarny.

 

A private graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Naugatuck. There are no calling hours. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is assisting the family with arrangements.
