Obituary of Justin Anthony DaSilva

Justin DaSilva, 16, of Prospect, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his home with his loving parents by his side. Justin was born August 12, 2001 in Meriden, CT. He is the son of Licinio and Edith (Duarte) DaSilva.

Justin was a Junior at Woodland Regional High School. He loved basketball, soccer and most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his parents he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Alberto and Candida DaSilva and his maternal grandparents, Manuel and Rosa Duarte all of Portugal; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be at Prospect Cemetery, Prospect. Calling hours are Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at CT Children's Medical Center for all of their love, care, and compassionate support that they received throughout the years spent there during Justin's cancer battle.
