Obituary of Adeline Marie Affhauser

Adeline Marie (Dufour) Affhauser, 75, of Prospect, surrounded by her family, passed away on December 14, 2017 at Vitas at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the loving wife of Earl Affhauser Sr. for over 54 years.

She was born in Frenchville, ME on October 1, 1942 daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Langdo) Dufour. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Plastiglide and Waterbury Buckle as a Machinist. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony's church since moving to Prospect and previously was a member of St. Michael Church. She loved to spend time with her family. She always supported her grandchildren and always attended their events.

Besides her husband, Adeline is survived by her sons Earl Affhauser Jr. of Bristol and Michael Affhauser and wife Kerri of Southington, grandchildren Erin Maurice, Christopher Banaszek, Zachary Affhauser, and Hayley Affhauser, great grandchildren Ashliegh and Gavin Maurice. She also leaves siblings Paul, Mary, Cecile, Anita, Rosaire, Henry, John, Helen, Philip, Gerald, and Roger, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by siblings Clifford, MaryAnn, and Roland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at St. Anthony Church, Union City Road, Prospect. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours are from 5-8 pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect.
