Obituary of Scott Richard Wilson
Scott Richard Wilson, 48, of Prospect, formerly of Bristol, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness, on December 31, 2017 at Bristol Hospital. He was the loving husband of Cynthia (DeLaVergne) Wilson for over 16 years.
He was born on April 2, 1969 in Waterbury son of Lorraine (Miclette) Wilson and the late Richard Lee Wilson. He was a 1987 graduate of Watertown High School. Scott’s greatest treasure was his family and the time spent with them. He loved sharing his campsite with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to truck and antique car shows. He took great pride in his Dodge Ram truck. He was a member of Southwick Community Episcopal Church in Southwick, MA. His special gift in life was giving to others and not expecting anything in return.
Besides his wife and mother, Scott is survived by sisters Cheryl McCarthy and husband Walter of Southwick, MA and Deborah Critelli and husband Mark of Wolcott, and father-in-law Charles DeLaVergne. He leaves a cousin Linda Sporbert of Waterbury, whom was like a sister to him. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew. “Notes” his faithful Pug will surely miss him.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law Deborah DeLaVergne.
The funeral will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect, CT. Burial will be at Prospect Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be from 10 am until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
