Obituary of Josephine D. Fabian

Josephine D. Fabian, 94 of Waterbury passed away on January 14, 2018 at Vitas at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Santo Fabian.

She was born on September 20, 1923 in Waterbury daughter of the late Joseph and Rachel (Famiglietti) Sgrillo. In her earlier years, she worked with her first husband at Milites Family Bakery. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper.

Josephine is survived by her children Rosalie Stavens and husband Donald of Sun City, AZ, Rachel Rainville of Prospect, and James Milite of Waterbury, grandchildren Darlene O'Neill and husband Owen, David Stavens and wife Heather, Michele Bonvicini and husband Robert, Jennifer Cruz and husband Luis, John Rainville and wife Joanne, and Kelly Milite. She leaves two brothers Rocco Sgrillo and Anthony Sgrillo, and a special niece Rachel Truss, whom was like a daughter to her. She also leaves sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son in law John Rainville, Sr., three brothers and five sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
