Obituary of Robert F. Ehrhard

Robert “Bob” F. Ehrhard, 80, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2018. He was the loving husband of Marilyn (Larkin) Ehrhard for over 57 years.

He was born on May 29, 1937 in Ridgefield. After high school, Bob served his country proudly in the US Navy. Prior to his retirement, Bob was a Firefighter and Dispatcher for the City of Danbury. In his spare time he liked to go bowling, fishing, skiing, and golfing. His family was very important to him, especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by a son Robert J. Ehrhard and wife Melissa of Hopewell Junction, NY, five grandchildren Matthew, Noah, Danielle, Justin, and Robert Jr.; two sisters Joanne Calnen and husband Jerry of Enfield, and Donna Kuhl of Newburyport, MA, a daughter in law Dixie Ehrhard of Woodland, WA, along with several nieces and nephews.

Robert was predeceased by his father Francis Ehrhard, mother Elda (Frulla) Ruopp, stepfather Edward Ruopp, and son Randy Ehrhard.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 11 am on March 9, 2018 at St. Peters Cemetery, Lake Avenue Extension, Danbury. There are no calling hours. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is assisting the family with arrangements.
