Obituary of Hilda M. Vega-Cotto

Hilda M. Vega-Cotto, 67, of Bristol, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on March 10, 2018. She was the loving Fiancé of Baltazar Vazquez.

She was born on December 17, 1950 in Guayama, Puerto Rico daughter of the late Jose Vega Ocasio and Marcolina Cotto Cotto. Hilda was a woman of great faith and was always willing to give anyone a helping hand. Her family was very important to her and they will miss her dearly.

Hilda is survived by her children Hilda I. Perez Vega and husband William Perry of Plainville, Pedro L. Perez Vega and wife Guillermina Rivera Ofray of Puerto Rico, Jannette Perez Vega and husband Felix Alberto Velasquez of Puerto Rico, Omayra Perez Vega of Bridgeport, Jose Burgos Vega of Bristol, Margarita Burgos Vega of Bristol and Luz M. Burgos Vega of Bristol. She also leaves two brothers Heriberto Vega Cotto and Benjamin Vega Cotto both of Puerto Rico and a sister Silvia Gonzalez of Poughkeepsie, NY; along with nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 7 pm on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Calling hour will be on Friday from 6 pm until the time of the service. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home at 9:30 am Saturday, March 17, 2018 for interment at West Cemetery, Bristol.
