Obituary of Amedeo "Ralph" "Doody" DeCilla

Amedeo "Ralph" "Doody" DeCilla, 75, of Prospect, passed away on March 21, 2018 at home. He was the loving husband of Claudette (Berube) DeCilla for over 52 years.

He was born, on February 4, 1943, in Bronx, NY, son of the late Amedeo and Josephine (Falci) DeCilla. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an Auditor for Pratt and Whitney for over 38 years.

Besides his wife, Ralph is survived by a daughter Dominique DeCilla of Waterbury, thirteen grandchildren Joshua, Patrick, Jacob, Lisa, Lucas, Colton, Justin, Adrienne, Alessandra, Angela, Josephine, Meli, and Chetan, and a great grandchild Mason. He also leaves a brother Elvio DeCilla and wife Carol of Bartlett, NH, a sister Eleonora Vescera of Wolcott, and a son-in-law Paul Scibek, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter Danielle (DeCilla) Scibek, a brother Michael DeCilla and a sister Mary Carbone.

The Funeral will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Anthony Church, Union City Road, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are from 5-8 pm Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd, Prospect.
