Obituary of Dawn M. D'Angelo

Dawn M. (Downey) D’Angelo, of Prospect, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on Thursday, March 29. She was the devoted wife of Jay A. D’Angelo for over 15 years.

Dawn was born on January 1, 1961, daughter of the late Joanna (Ragozzine) Downey. She was a licensed cosmetologist, owned her own business for many years and most recently was Manager at Colony Haircutters in Milford, CT for her dear friend Bertha Verna. Dawn also liked arts & crafts, ceramics and painting and taking vacations with her family. Dawn loved cheering for her son, Jay at all his sporting events. 

Besides her husband, Dawn is also survived by her son, Jay M. D’Angelo whom she treasured and loved with all her heart. She is also survived by her sisters Rayma (Bob) Santos and Leigh (John) Massimo, her brother Joseph (Lisa) Downey, brother-in-law Jack (Donna) D’Angelo, along with nieces and nephews Ashley and Morgan Downey, John and Guy Massimo, Lynn (Rich) Camarro, Sherry (Jonathan) Crosby, Caitlin Camarro and Andrew Crosby.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at St Peter and Paul Church, Southmayd Rd, Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5-8 pm on Monday, April 2 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd, Prospect.
