James E. Pandolfe
Inspector Sikorsky Aircraft / Navy Veteran
James Edward Pandolfe, 95, of Waterbury, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2018 at The Village at East Farms.
He was born on February 1, 1923 in Bronx, NY son of the late Sebastian and Carmella (Gurcuillo) Pandolfe. He served in the US Navy during WW II. James worked as an inspector for Sikorsky Aircraft for over 35 years, until his retirement. He loved to golf and much of his free time was spent at the beaches in West Haven.
He was loved and cared for by his nephew Ronald Putetti and wife Marybeth and his niece Donna Townsend and husband Philip. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters Lucille Foley, Sarah Guiditta and Frances Putetti and a brother Jack Pandolfe.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Village at East Farms for their continuous care during the last eight years and thanks to Seasons Hospice and Home Sweet Home Care for all their love and support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 am on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Rd, Prospect. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. There are no calling hours. Burial with Military Honors will be held at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect is assisting the family with arrangements.
