Obituary of Frances Carasone

Frances (Gootkin) Carasone, 73, of Prospect, surrounded by family passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Masonicare in Wallingford.  She was the loving wife of Domenic J. Carasone, Sr.

She was born August 3, 1944 in New Haven, daughter of the late Sidney and Ruth (Miller) Gootkin.

Besides her husband, Frances is survived by her son Domenic J. (Kris) Carasone, Jr. of Prospect, a daughter Renee (Daniel) Reis of Naugatuck, grandchildren Olivia and Alanna Carasone, Courtney and Justyn Reis. She also leaves a brother David Gootkin of Wallingford, sisters Brenda Ranactio of Prospect and Gertrude Gootkin of Southbury, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers Jack and Robert Gootkin.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 18, 2018 at St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect.
