Obituary of Margo Johnson

Margo E. Johnson was born August 10, 1948 in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Madeline (Carter) and Horace Green. She transitioned from this world on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

 

Margo was educated in the Waterbury Public School System. She was previously employed at Southbury Training School and Dtec Inc in Watertown, CT.

 

Margo was known for her willingness to lend a helping hand, including opening her home to family members and friends. She was a foster mom to several children. She loved cooking and was the cook at many of the family functions. Her zest for life was amazing and her ability to bring people together at her famous card parties, was a joyous sight to behold. She was a fashionista. Her love for art and fashion was clearly displayed in her home, and by the clothes that she wore.

 

 Margo leaves to mourn her memory, her daughter, Monica R. Johnson of Waterbury, CT and four sons; Brian (Michelle) Green of Waterbury, CT, Derek Johnson Sr. of Rockville, CT and twins Kevin

Johnson of Waterbury, CT and Ky1e Johnson of Seymour, CT; one sister, Jennifer Green of West Haven, CT, two brothers, Richard Green of Williamsburg, VA and Robert Green West Haven, CT, her grandchildren; Michael Green, Warren Respass Jr., Derek Johnson III, Erin Respass, Tatiyanna Respass, Kevin Johnson Jr., Hayley Johnson, Briana Green, Melissa Green, Anthony Johnson, Sofia Fonseca, Kyle Johnson Jr.,  Dash Johnson, Natalie Johnson, Margo Johnson and Jai Johnson, her great grandchildren; Kayden Aponte, Savannah and Carter Respass and Brian Azaiah Green, a special niece and great niece,

Sonjia and Nakia Gomes; special friends, Dolly Trent and Ann Galloway Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends.

 

Margo Was predeceased by her parents, her grandmother, Ida Green, a son, Keith Green, two sisters, Gwendolyn Green and Brenda Yates, two brothers, Edward Green and Sam Bonds, an aunt Beulah Mae Jenkins, her oldest grandson, Brian Keith Green “BK” and her cousins Annette Petteway-Young and Troy Caldwell.

Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19th at Mount Zion Church of Church, 34 Ward Street, Waterbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the Family. There are no calling hours. The family has chosen Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect, James R. Sanders, Funeral Director. »(Do not delete this line. It does not print.
