Obituary of Ann T. Cavanaugh

Ann T. "Nancy" (Moriarty) Cavanaugh, 84, of Prospect, surrounded by her family passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2018.

 

She was born on July 18, 1934 in Waterbury daughter of the late John “Jack” and Catherine (Cooper) Moriarty. Prior to her retirement, Ann worked as a RN for St. Mary’s Hospital for over 35 years. She was a devoted mother to her two sons. She loved her family. In her spare time, she loved to travel, play golf and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was a member of St. Anthony Church and was very dedicated to her faith.

 

Ann is survived by her son Kevin and wife Mary Kay of Federal Way, Washington, two granddaughters: Kelly and Meaghan and two grandsons: Matthew and Daniel. She also leaves two sisters Eileen Murphy and Kathleen Prenez and husband Frank all of Prospect and a brother Daniel Moriarty of Waterbury, along with many nieces and nephews.

 

She was predeceased by a son Brian Cavanaugh.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.  Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is assisting the family with arrangements.
