Obituary of Katherine Davis

Waterbury – Katherine Vann Davis, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.  She was the widow of William H.  “Buddy” Davis.

Katherine was born December 13, 1925 in Winton, NC a daughter of the late Carrie Gary.  She retired after 20 years from Airpax. She was a life long member of Zion Baptist Church and a member of the Adult Choir.

Katherine is survived by sons; Dennis C. Davis and Wayne E. Davis, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by daughters; Yvonne M. Davis and Darlene R. (Davis) Gunthrop, a son Carl A. “Skipper” Davis, a sister  Helen Trueheart and a brother Charles Vann.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September  5, 2018 at Zion Baptist Church, 137 Pearl St, Waterbury, CT 06704.  Friends may call at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.  The family has selected Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, James R. Sanders, Funeral Director.
