Obituary of Alberta "Bert" Higgins

Alberta “Bert” Higgins, 75, of Prospect passed away on September 4, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital.

She was born in Derby on July 14, 1943 daughter of Josephine (Dantuano) Santarsiere and the late James Santarsiere.

Besides her mother, Bert is survived by a son Marc Higgins and wife Marge of Bristol, a daughter Kristine Higgins of Prospect, grandchildren James, Marc Jr., Kalee, Monique, Jarid, and Summer, a great grandchild Addison, a sister Judy Chappell and husband Bruce of Westbrook, along with a niece Marci Martindale and husband Lew of Westbrook and daughters Caila and Alisabeth

She was predeceased by a daughter Michele K. Higgins and a granddaughter Jennifer Lee Higgins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Calling hours are from 11 am until the time of service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
