Obituary of Jo-Ann Epperson-Miller

Jo-Ann (Helmerich) Epperson-Miller, 57, of Naugatuck, passed away on October 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with breast cancer.  She was born December 24, 1960 to the late George and Josephine (Gluse) Helmerich. 

Jo-Ann’s greatest passion was her family and spending time with her grandchildren. In true Jo-Ann fashion, she kept her family and friends close to her. Jo-Ann retired as a paralegal for the State of Connecticut’s Worker’s Compensation division.  Prior to her retirement she worked in private law firms making life-long friends.  

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Paul Miller, Jr. of Naugatuck, her sons Christopher (Kim) of Worcester, MA, Paul (Andrea) of Waterbury, and Timothy Epperson of Litchfield, Gregory “Tyler” Thompson of Hollywood, CA, Phillip (Jamie) Miller of Naugatuck, and a daughter Rachel (Adam) Bronko of Naugatuck.  She also leaves her grandchildren Brielle, Isabelle, Elizabeth, Evan, Jackson, and Jace, as well as her sister Corinne (Corey) Jones, a brother George (Michelle) Helmerich and a host of nieces and nephews.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, November 2 directly at Blessed Sacrament Church, 182 Robbins St., Waterbury.  Interment will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour.  Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, November 1 at Prospect Memorial Funeral, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect from 5-7PM.  In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
