Obituary of Patricia M. O'Neill

Patricia M. O’Neill died peacefully in New Milford Hospital on December 3, 2018

At the age of 85.

She was born to Marion and Clyde McQuaid on February 20, 1933 in New London, Connecticut. Pat earned a degree from West Chester State College, Pennsylvania, where she met her future husband, Frederick O’Neill.  They married in 1954.

In 1965, Pat and Fred settled in Connecticut where they raised their eight children: Michael, Pamela, Brian, Judith, Steven, James, Daniel, and Megan. 

Patricia earned a masters degree from Western Connecticut State University, where she became an adjunct professor.

Patricia is survived by seven of her children, along with seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank New Milford Hospital and Litchfield Hills Adult Daycare for their exceptional care and support.

A private ceremony for the family was held on December 16, 2018; a Memorial Service for Pat will be on Sunday, 12 May from 1-4 PM at President's Reception Room, Westside Class Building, Western CT State University, 43 Lake Avenue Extension, Danbury, CT 06811.
