Obituary of Jolinda W. Heavens

Jolinda W. Heavens, 63, of Waterbury, passed away surrounded by family on January 3, 2019.

She was born in Norwalk on August 25, 1955 daughter of the late George Wilmot and Joan (Smith) Guisti.

Jolinda is survived by her daughter Cristen Heavens of Stamford, siblings Mark Wilmot and wife Joan of South Royalton, VT, Jeffrey Wilmot and wife Margaret of South Royalton, VT, Randy Wilmot of Woodsville, VT, Steven Wilmot and wife Lori of Roxbury, Susan Woodfield and husband Jeffrey of Naugatuck, along with several nieces and nephews.

Jolinda enjoyed life’s little blessings, like Christmas baking, camping trips, and lunch dates with her friends. She had an admirable passion for animals. She rescued and befriended countless four-legged friends throughout her life, and many became lifelong companions to her. Jolinda loved her dear friends and family very much, all of whom brought her great joy and love. Jolinda will be missed for her seemingly endless compassion and kindness, but will live on through her memory.

A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. There are no calling hours. Burial is at the convenience of the family.
