I hope the family sees this, I'm a bit late. I've known Mrs. Paris since the Worth's days. I was saddened by her passing. She was a true lady! I'd see her out and about in Waterbury and she remembered me as well as my Dad, who passed over 40 years ago, who worked there as well. My sincere condolences to her family.

I may be bias. She was married to my grandfather Mr. Booker T Paris. Legacy has always meaned something to my city. Momma Paris has represented the best this city has to offer in Humanity. We must never forget this lady, woman, mother, grandmother, Trailblazer. Let her candle never go out. I am reminded of her fashion sense. Scarfs, two piece suits like she read fashion magazines or Shawne kept her in the game. Waterbury Republican showed her picture as she and her civic organization contributed to the minds of our communities future intellects who matriculate to college. Lift every voice and Momma’s Paris in your memory today I sang for the many in my city through college you allowed their mental freedom to ring. Glad to have been a receiver of your kind smile and warm hugs. We celebrate a great one. 94 years is worth tears but certainly a whole Lotta smiles. May we remember the smile and how you wore that. Love you and so sorry I didn't hug you more. My loss certainly. Shawne, Tiny, Jason. Forgive me.

Complete. Caring. Concise. Consistent. She completed God’s purpose for her life and a many others. She cared about many in all of her mannerisms and her beautiful smile. She was concise on who her purpose represented as an elder in our community and mother of many. She was consistent on her mission and her execution of that mission. To Whom much is given that much more is required. Leon aka Tiny, Shawne, and Jason and the Wright and Paris family. For 94 years she has shown here worth and purpose to her life and the many lives she touched. God gave her spirit driven purpose and nothing can impede on a determined woman and more importantly a determined black woman. Our Oprah. Our Cicely. Our Queen. She has been Our College Fund for many and blessed plenty. She resonated

Ms.Paris, was a very calm and nice woman I love her energy when she's around me. I can felt the holy spirit in her. Nana, "I hope it's okay to call here that" but this is how she made you feel, like you knew her for years. Shawne, Camille call her that, because as you know she's really there Nana, but she made me feel like she was mines too, when ever I go to the shop. Nana came to me in my sleep and said Robin thank you for everything, I jump up! and she was still talking to me saying tell baby girl (shawne)
thanks for everything and am with my other baby girl now, its beautiful up here! i saw her crossing over with her daughter. What a beautiful woman R.I.P Nana. Shawne sorry for your lost! she loves you dearly. Everyone know she's in a better place now. God bless her.

Millie was my first boss when I was lucky enough to be hired by Worth’s Department Store in downtown Waterbury during my high school days almost 50 years ago. All these years later, I have never forgotten her and what a wonderful woman she was. She fought for me to have as many work hours as possible since she knew my family didn’t have resources and I needed to pay my tuition at Catholic High School. Her intelligence, leadership, and kindness will be in my heart forever. God Bless you Millie, may you rest in blessed peace in heaven.
With fond rememberances of your impact on my young life.

Dear Paris Family:
I want to give my sincerest condolences to all of you at this time. I had the honor and privilege to meet,
and have 2 wonderful conversations with Mildred, when she was a patient at St. Mary's hospital recently. My colleagues and I visit each patient to offer support and encouragement to them, and I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent talking with Mildred so much. She lifted my spirits and brightened my day each time I talked with her. Her warm voice and beautiful smile just touched my heart.
Hopefully our conversations brought her some peace and comfort. I will remember her with happiness; knowing now she is in the light and peace of our Lord forever.
I wish your family peace in the thought that you will be united again.

Ms. Mildred Paris's Family,
To know her as the saying goes is to Love her and that's what we did. You couldn't help it. Her talents taught young and old how to, act, respect, share, help, love, sing, play piano, dress well, carry themselves properly in Public as well as Home. Attend Church, and Sunday School etc, etc. but most of all to know, trust, and depend on God. She herself was a Godly Woman. There were times in her life when helping out others was apart of her daily life. The community was well served by her and she was rewarded by being elected by the Black Community, Mayor of the Day. She received many Honors from Organizations and well as people thanking her in more ways than one for what she did for them over and over again. Ask some of her Church Family, Church Choir Members, Friends, and even her Family. My Family will miss her dearly. My wife Annie became a close friend and traveler on her's as well as my wife's trips. They enjoyed themselves together. God has given all of us a little while with a small woman who has walked with a Huge Impact on all of us. Let us not forget she was "The Pioneer for Black Woman" with Responsibilities in Business in the City of Waterbury and now my family says Thank-you and God Bless you on your continue journey now in Heaven with Jesus which we believe and have received your greatest reward.
