Obituary of Patricia Ann Magro

Patricia (DiChiara) Magro, 54, of Waterbury, surrounded by her family passed away on February 21, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the loving wife of Victor Magro.

She was born on February 20, 1965, in Waterbury, daughter of Victoria (Deslauriers) DiChiara of Waterbury and the late Joseph DiChiara. Patty worked as the Program Coordinator for the Bidwell Center a Facility of Community Options. She had a passion for supporting people with disabilities. In her spare time she volunteered for Special Olympics, along with other activities and programs.

Besides her husband and mother, Patty is survived by a daughter Kristen (Bird) Willets and husband Jason of Oakville, a grandson on the way, a stepson Victor Magro of MS, two sisters Pamela Harrison of Waterbury and Robyn Cardona and her husband Edward, Sr. of Waterbury, two brothers: Paul DiChiara and his wife Nancy of Wolcott and Joseph DiChiara and wife Dawn of Plainville, along with several nieces and nephews. Patty also leaves many friends whom she considered family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Mary Mother of the Church Parish - SS Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd., Waterbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are from 5-7 pm on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd, Prospect.
