Obituary of Esther C. Greeno

Esther C. Greeno, 92, passed away on April 5, 2019 at home in Vermont surrounded by loving family.  She was the wife of the late Wayne A. Greeno.

She was born June 12, 1926 in Chicago, IL, but raised in her family’s hometown of Oslo, Norway.  She was a professional piano teacher, and played in recitals later in life.  She was an avid reader and loved to sew, knit, crochet and do needlepoint.

Esther is survived by her children Anthony Greeno of Las Vegas, Karen Vergara (Eduardo) of Las Vegas, Jack Greeno of Middlebury, VT, Irene Greeno of Waterbury CT, William Harrison Greeno of Las Vegas, John Robert Barrett (Carolina) of Las Vegas, NV and Elizabeth Ann Friend (Eric) of Starksboro, VT.  She leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son G. Wayne Greeno, and her five siblings, Astri, Ingri, John, Ethel and Ruth.

All services are private and at the convenience of the family.  She will be laid to rest in Las Vegas with her husband at a future date.
