Obituary of Frederick Miller

Frederick Joseph Miller, 55, of Waterbury passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019

at St. Mary’s Hospital Vitas Unit surrounded by his loving family.Frederick was born August 27, 1963 in Waterbury, a son of the late Henry and Aurelija (Velicka) Miller.

Prior to his illness, Frederick was a self-employed carpenter and painter.

Frederick loved the New York Yankees, Minnesota Vikings, and spending time at The Lithuanian Club of Waterbury.  He was very proud of his Lithuanian heritage.  In his spare time, Fred enjoyed trips to the casino, traveling and fishing.   Fred loved being outdoors. He treasured most the time spent with his family. Many fond memories were made of spontaneous outings with his children. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Jianna Miller of Bristol and sons Justin Miller of Bristol and Douglas Kenny, sisters  Michele Meyhoefer and husband Michael of Brookfield, Regina Blanchard and husband Dave of Cheshire, brothers; Rick Martin and wife Lynn of Waterbury, Joe Martin and wife Cheryl of Naugatuck and Vance Martin of Waterbury, 2 grandchildren, aunt and uncle; Al and Diana Velicka, his former wife Toni Vigue, 17 nieces and nephews and 4 cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect.  Burial will immediately follow at the Lithuanian Cemetery, 98 Plank Road, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd, Prospect from 9am to 11am on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
