Obituary of Margaret R. Genova

Loving Mother & Grandmother Margaret "Peggy" (Riccitelli) Genova, 91, of Prospect, passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side, on October 17, 2019. She was the wife of the late Peter J. Genova, Sr. for over 57 years. She was born in Hamden, on September 21, 1928, daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Petrazzulo) Riccitelli. Peggy enjoyed working in her garden and keeping her yard immaculate, especially free of leaves each Fall. She also enjoyed arranging her home and keeping everything in order. However, her greatest enjoyment was the time spent with her family and most importantly putting them first. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Margaret is survived by her devoted son Peter J. Genova, Jr. and wife Lynn of Prospect and her daughter Deborah Gugliotti of Bristol, a grandson Peter J. Genova, III of Southington, granddaughters Marla Genova and husband Kurt Juszczykizs and Michelle Gugliotti all of Bristol. She also leaves a brother Pasquale Riccitelli of Wallingford and three sisters Ann Marie Russo of Branford, Judy and Barbara Riccitelli both of Madison, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Angelo Riccitelli. The Funeral will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.
