Obituary of Dolores Acas

Dolores Acas, 90, of Prospect, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on January 27, 2020. She was the widow of the late Thomas Acas. She was born on May 20, 1929 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Francis X. and Nora (Griffin) Parkinson. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. She was a devoted wife and mother. Dolores is survived by her children Deborah Scarmozzino of Prospect, Thomas Acas of Middlebury, Kevin Acas of Prospect and Kathleen Acas of Prospect, three grandchildren Joseph Scarmozzino, Michael Scarmozzino and Shannon Acas, a great grandson Joseph Scarmozzino, twin sisters, Arlene and Ellen Parkinson, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Marie E. McGrail. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 31, 2020 at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 W. Main Street, Waterbury. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect is assisting the family with arrangements.
