Dear Family Members and Friends of Lottie,
I just now came across Lottie's name and information in a safe place in my kitchen. I am ever so sorry that I did not keep up with our relationship as time went on.
Lottie worked under me in the Foster Grandparent Program that was at Crosby High School in Waterbury. She was a wonderful grandmother to the girls and their babies and we became quite close along with the other two grandmothers, especially Ms. Samuelson. We had our fun and games, so to speak, but we also had our serious talks when we got a better glimpse of who we really were and what we meant to others.
I can still picture her rolling her eyes, looking over her glasses and cooking up enough chicken to feed and army!
In reading this OB, I also discovered that her son, Melvin, had been a classmate of mine at Webster School in Waterbury!
I sincerely miss our times at Crosby......what a wonderful woman she was!
